2026 Best Lawyers in Australia: Hall & Wilcox lawyers recognition

Hall & Wilcox congratulates 92 of our lawyers named in the 2026 Best Lawyers in Australia list. 

Four partners were awarded the coveted ‘Lawyer of the Year’ category: Drew Castley (Professional Malpractice Litigation, Brisbane), Sean McMahon (Investment Funds, Brisbane), Emma Woolley (Wealth Management/Succession Planning Practice, Melbourne) and Simon Morgan (Personal Injury Litigation, Sydney). This category is awarded to a single lawyer in an area of practice and geographic region with the highest overall feedback by their peers. 

We also celebrate the 42 early-career and mid-career lawyers (those who have been practising for around 3-8 years) that were recognised as ‘Ones to Watch’. 

Best Lawyers is a peer review guide to the legal profession globally. Lawyers are reviewed by their peers based on professional expertise and likelihood to refer work, and are divided by geographic location and practice areas.
