Krisha has 19 years’ workers' compensation and common law experience with a particular focus on section 151Z indemnity claims.

Krisha has worked in the area of insurance law, with a specific focus on workers' compensation, personal injury and common law claims. Krisha began her career as a legal assistant in 1996, quickly progressing to a career paralegal with carriage of a large indemnity practice and now as a lawyer after completing her law degree.

Krisha has extensive exposure acting for and advising insurer clients. She is experienced in managing workers' compensation, common law, double insurance and section 151Z recoveries/indemnity claims.

Krisha has particular strength devising strategies to successfully maximise the recovery outcome for her clients in a cost-effective and timely manner.

Experience

  • Involved in major claims and insurance disputes, including those arising from the Thredbo landslide disaster, MMR vaccination, Gulf War Syndrome and Irish Child Abuse Claims.
  • Acting for self-insurers, government sector clients, icare scheme agents and specialised insurers.
  • Conducts large scale screening of workers compensation claims to identify potential section 151Z recovery/indemnity opportunities.
  • Regularly liaises with clients to ensure a thorough knowledge of operational and strategic issues.
