Rachel is an experienced litigation lawyer and insurance specialist. She has a particular focus on public liability litigation and policy advice.
She is experienced in defending claims on behalf of domestic and international insurers. Her experience includes defending personal injury claims, property damage claims, motor vehicle property damage claims, dual insurance claims and s151z recovery claims.
Rachel also provides advice on the interpretation of policy wording, coverage disputes, dual insurance and recovery.
She has worked with a range of insured and self-insured businesses, which includes sports and recreational facilities, security companies, construction contractors, commercial cleaners and occupiers, property managers and fast-food corporates.
Rachel has proven advocacy skills and takes a pragmatic approach to litigation.

- Acted on behalf of head contractors, host employers, and subcontractors in relation to an array of serious workplace incidents sustained at construction sites, including numerous matters involving labour hire personnel. These matters often involve consideration of contractual indemnities and dual insurances issues.
- Acted for both domestic and international insurers, principally in NSW but also in the ACT and VIC.
- Acted for a sporting association in relation to a complex defamation matter.
- Acted for cleaners, occupiers and property managers in defence of slip/trips claims for large retail and commercial premises as well as residential premises.
- Acted for security subcontractors in relation to intentional torts and negligence claims.
- Defended section 151Z recovery claims commenced by worker’s compensation insurers.
- Acted on behalf of a large fast-food corporate in relation to personal injury claims.
- Seconded to an international insurer.
- Experienced in providing advice to insurers.
- Preparing and conducting practical seminars for insurance clients.
