Maddison Reznik is a Senior Associate Lawyer and Registered Trade Marks Attorney. Her passion in the law is in commercial practice, with a strong focus in intellectual property and technology. Her practice has seen her act for a wide variety of public and private entities, including major Commonwealth and Victorian Government departments and agencies, listed and unlisted companies, universities and research bodies.

Maddison is admitted as a lawyer in Victoria and the Commonwealth of Australia, as well as being a registered trade marks attorney with the Trans-Tasman Intellectual Property Attorneys Board. In 2022, Maddison graduated from the University of Melbourne with a specialist Masters of Intellectual Property Law.

Maddison regularly acts for Commonwealth and Victorian Governments in the procurement of high-value bespoke technology contracts. Her government practice includes advising on all aspects of a procurement, including probity and legal risks. Her public and private practice in the technology space includes drafting and advising on a wide range of contracts, including software licences, Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) agreements, cloud service agreements, evaluation and option agreements, and general licensing agreements.

Maddison’s background has provided her with exposure to a range of areas of law, including commercial law, intellectual property law, technology law (including relating to AI), privacy law, competition and consumer law, property law and employment law. This means that she is well accustomed to delving into new and complex areas.
