Insurance Katt practices in statutory insurance specialising in Workers Compensation. She represents insurers in litigated matters and provides advice to both insurers and employers on the management of claims.
Katt manages a high-volume practice working for key clients. In particular she acts for employers, self-insurers, NSW workers compensation managed fund scheme agents and the Workers Compensation Nominal Insurer (icare).
Katt regularly appears in the Personal Injury Commission, District Court and Supreme Court of NSW representing insurers in litigated matters. She advises on complex statutory claims as well as work injury damages claims. She also provides strategic advice on non-litigated matters.
Katt often provides ad hoc advice to insurer clients. She presents seminars and provides various formal and informal training to scheme agents on workers compensation liability issues and management of claims.
Katt has worked in the legal industry for over 17 years. In doing so, Katt has gained a wealth of experience managing matters from their infancy.
