Jason commenced employment with Hall and Wilcox in January 2009 and was appointed as a Partner on 1 January 2016. Jason acts for WorkSafe Victoria and its agents and employers. He also acts for TAC.
Jason’s practice focuses on personal injury litigation management and administrative law. He manages Bendigo common law and statutory benefits claims brought pursuant to the Accident Compensation Act 1985 (Vic) and the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 (Vic). Jason also has a well-developed and successful judicial review practice.
Jason's contribution to the workers' compensation scheme was recognised when he was the recipient of Worksafe's inaugural 'Award for Excellence in Personal Injury Management' in 2010. Jason has also been recognised in The Best Lawyers in Australia in Personal Injury Litigation every year since 2020 and is a recommended Workers' Compensation (Defendant) lawyer in Victoria in Doyle’s Guide to the Australian Legal Profession.
Prior to joining Hall & Wilcox, Jason worked in a number of roles at the TAC and TAC Law from 1998 and later WorkSafe Victoria from 2004. Jason remained at WorkSafe Victoria for approximately four years with his final position being Principal Workers’ Consultant at WorkCover Assist – a division of WorkSafe Victoria which provides representation for workers before the Accident Compensation Conciliation Service.

- Jason has expertise in Medical Panels, administrative law and appeals to the Court of Appeal.
- Jason has extensive knowledge of, and conducts litigation in accordance with, the Victorian Model Litigant Guidelines.
