Belinda is an insurance lawyer with decades of experience over a range of jurisdictions.  Belinda is an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law.  Her current practice focuses on complex statutory workers’ compensation claims, claims for work injury damages and workers compensation recovery actions (s151Z).

Belinda provides strategic advice to her clients and works closely with them to ensure early resolution of disputes where possible. Belinda handles matters in the Workers’ Compensation Commission, as well as District and Supreme Courts of NSW.  Belinda has seen the world of personal injury evolve over the years.  That experience has taught her that no two matters are the same and often what is required is a holistic approach.  The holistic approach may cross into other jurisdictions and require a collaborative approach with other Hall & Wilcox teams.

Belinda has a particular interest in claims involving mental health.  Her practice currently involves working for government sector clients, scheme agents, specialised and self-insurers.

  • Acting on behalf of self-insurers and scheme agents in proceedings in the Workers’ Compensation Commission, District Court and Supreme Court.
  • Providing seminars to self-insurers and employers on workers’ compensation legislation and obligations and the interaction with employment issues.
  • Providing support and training to her clients which have included providing a suite of training to a scheme agent on a weekly basis over a period of about 12 months which has been well received.
  • Collaborating with her colleagues in different jurisdictions in respect of matters to achieve a holistic outcome for the client.
