Practices

Amber has more than 12 years of experience in the legal insurance sphere, and has covered the field, working in State and Federal Government legal practices, private practice and in-house at WorkCover in 2011.

Amber has been involved in insurance claims across a diverse range of areas including transport (aviation, marine, shipping), catastrophic naval 'class action' type dependency claims, as well as aviation disaster claims.  Her aviation experience was of specific assistance in relation to several claims, and enabled specialised advice involving the operation of the Civil Aviation Carrier’s Liability Act, precluding the need for counsel.

Amber’s experience in class action/major scale airline incidents and a group dependency claim in the federal sphere have also given her insight into problems faced by large employers (such as government agencies), and has allowed her to advise and assist government employers in relation to potential flow-on effect of claims into their general workforces.

Amber’s work on high-profile, media-sensitive claims has also been of great assistance and benefit to large employers with media sensitive claims.
