Lydia offers clients market-leading legal advice on all matters concerning real estate finance, corporate finance, project finance, acquisition finance, cross-border financing transactions and a broad range of other financing transactions, covering both secured and unsecured lending. She has represented a wide range of clients, including banks, non-bank lenders, fund managers, institutional investors, as well as corporate borrowers such as property developers, multinational companies, global corporations, and offshore entities involved in financing or financial transactions.
By taking a strong interest in her clients’ business activities, Lydia consistently optimises the best corporate, financial, and commercial interests of her clients.
Earlier in her career, Lydia gained significant expertise in property and projects, where she was involved in high-value transactions related to major property assets and large-scale project developments.
Prior to joining Hall & Wilcox, Lydia was Head of Legal at a leading national property development company. In this senior leadership role, she oversaw legal departments across multiple city offices, providing strategic direction and governance on legal matters and compliance.
Lydia is bilingual in English and Mandarin.

- Advised a renewable energy provider in connection with its project finance.
- Acting for a US financier in cross-border securities arrangement in Australia.
- Advised a leading Australian dairy ingredient processor in respect of their various financing arrangements and transactions in Australia.
- Advised various offshore financiers in connection with Australian securities in securing the facilities governed by a foreign law.
- Acted for a livestock supplier in relation to their various funding arrangements and securities over livestock.
- Advised a UK company acquisition transaction involving an Australian guarantor - a global practice management software company.
