Lauren has over 12 years’ experience, specialising in insurance litigation and practicing in the areas of workers compensation, compulsory third party and public liability claims.
During her years as a legal practitioner, Lauren has been responsible for providing high quality and strategic legal advice on the preparation and defence of both litigated and unlitigated personal injury claims. She has also advised and advanced her clients’ interests on issues of procedural fairness and jurisdictional error, including by seeking judicial review. In 2019, at the request of a major legal research provider, Lauren reviewed and advised on the content of a detailed publication about the ACT compulsory third party scheme.
Lauren provides a practical approach to solving the legal problems faced by her clients, and her ability to work constructively with all parties to an insurance claim has allowed her to achieve excellent outcomes which meet her clients’ needs.
In addition to this, Lauren’s in-depth knowledge of the ACT court system and procedures has seen her secure tactical advantage for her clients in complex litigated matters, for example by securing favourable interlocutory orders in advance of proceeding to contested hearing.
