Jemima practices as an insurance and litigation lawyer. She has handled various public liability claims in Queensland.
Jemima has honed her litigation skills handling a wide portfolio of litigated motor vehicle defence and property damage recoveries and defence claims. She also has had autonomous conduct of a number of personal injury claims and is well conversant with the PIPA pre-litigation process as well as preparation for trial. She also handles CTP claims and Workplace Health and Safety prosecution defences. Jemima has excellent skills in drafting pleadings, gathering evidence and managing witnesses, advocacy and negotiation and writing succinct but comprehensive client advices.
Jemima has recently returned from 12 months as a Claims Manager in the London insurance market.

- Conduct of property damage and motor vehicle defence and recovery claims, including providing advice, interviewing witnesses, advocacy, negotiating settlements, and drafting both plaintiff and defence pleadings in Magistrate, District and Supreme Court proceedings.
- Cost-effectively recovering significant settlements and judgments for motor vehicle insurers in defence
- Providing succinct yet comprehensive advice and strategy recommendations in relation to property damage and motor vehicle recoveries and personal injury claims.
- Appearing at settlement conferences and Court hearings and making submissions.
- Acting for maritime insurers in respect of hull and P&I (including personal injury) claims.
- Acting for maritime insurers in respect of property damage claims.
- Acting for insurers in respect of fires and other catastrophic property damage, including business interruption claims.
