Senior Associate
Gloria is a tax lawyer practising predominantly in the areas of income tax advisory and tax litigation.
Gloria’s work includes corporate income tax advisory and tax compliance services for large multinationals and corporate groups. Gloria also has experience with M&A tax services, including pre-acquisition structuring and planning, tax due diligence, and post-acquisition compliance services.
Gloria has experience with assisting corporate clients with tax audits and engagement with the ATO, including under the Top 1000 streamlined assurance program and combined assurance program.
Gloria also has experience acting for large multinationals, small-to-medium enterprises and individuals in disputes with the Australian Taxation Office and AusIndustry.
Gloria brings an additional perspective to legal practice having had over four years of corporate tax experience gained at the Big Four accounting firms and six years R&D tax experience at one of Australia’s largest specialist R&D tax advisory firms. Gloria has published two feature articles in The Tax Institute’s journal on R&D tax.
Gloria also has industry experience having been on secondment to an ASX-listed energy and resources company.
Experience
- Acting for various clients with reviews, audits, objections, and litigation, involving revenue (Australian Taxation Office and AusIndustry).
- Assisting various multinationals on inbound investments into Australia in the argiculture, renewables, and infrastructure space.
- Advising one of the key shareholders of a renewable technology company on a ~USD1.2b pre-listing transaction.
- Advising a confidential client in respect of a Departure Prohibition Order (DPO) and freezing orders issued by the Australian Taxation Office.
- Advising and assisting with the preparation of advance and overseas findings for a medical device group and a multinational technology company.
