Funda Olusum

Funda is Special Counsel in our General Insurance team, advising Australian and international insurers on a wide range of claims, with a particular focus on professional indemnity, public liability, property damage and policy interpretation.

Known for her commercial approach and clear communication style, Funda assists clients across all stages of a matter – from claim assessment and investigation through to resolution and litigation. She regularly acts for insured professionals, including architects and property managers, and advises Owners Corporations, shopping centres, retail landlords and strata managers on complex claims involving property damage and personal injury.

Funda's experience spans multiple jurisdictions, including Local, District, Supreme and Federal Courts, as well as tribunals such as NCAT and AFCA. She has also represented insurers as high-value recovery actions and successfully resolved a multi-million-dollar misleading and deceptive conduct claim at mediation.

With a strong track record in alternative dispute resolution and a sharp eye for strategy, Funda is committed to delivering outcomes that align with her client’s commercial and reputational objectives.
