
Emma has 15 years of insurance industry experience, having worked in key roles inhouse, for an insurer and for an international broker prior to joining Hall & Wilcox.
With a personal interest in complex physical and psychological matters, Emma combines her clinical knowledge as an Exercise Physiologist with her technical knowledge and experience in the industry, to provide clients with well rounded, objective advice, approaching matters holistically with a view of achieving the best outcome for all parties.
As well as providing legal advice to many of Hall & Wilcox’s most valuable clients, Emma also leads larger projects with providers and insurers to assist in improving scheme performance and staff capability.
Emma believes a strong network can be a person’s greatest asset, and strives to build and maintain strong relationships, not just with clients, but with the broader industry.
All aspects of workers compensation claims, including advising and defending claims in relation to liability, lump sum compensation and work injury damages.
Experience
- Involved in advising and acting for iCare and claims providers across Managed Fund, Insurance for NSW and self insured clients.
- Specialises in advising large, corporate clients with significant premiums and claims experience impact, in both conventional and LPR models.
- Regularly liaises with clients, employers and brokers to assist in providing a thorough understanding of complex workers compensation issues and strategies for cost mitigation.
- Has led capability projects with various claims service providers and employers involving the development and delivery of training on a variety of topics.
- Expertise in complex physical and psychological injuries.
- Additionally, Emma was a Member of the Board of Emerging Leaders at Hall & Wilcox in 2025
