Belinda Walsh

Special Counsel

Belinda is an insurance lawyer with decades of experience over a range of jurisdictions. Belinda is an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law.

Belinda’s current practice focuses on complex statutory workers’ compensation claims and claims for work injury damages.

Belinda provides strategic advice to her clients and works closely with them to ensure early resolution of disputes where possible. Belinda handles matters in the Personal Injury Commission, as well as District and Supreme Courts of NSW. Belinda has seen the world of personal injury evolve over the years. That experience has taught her that no two matters are the same and often what is required is a holistic approach. The holistic approach may cross into other jurisdictions and require a collaborative approach with other Hall & Wilcox teams.

Belinda has a particular interest in claims involving mental health. Her practice currently involves working for government sector clients, scheme agents, specialised and self-insurers.

In 2020, she created The WWW Series: the A-Z of workers’ compensation for self-insurers, a comprehensive series designed to enhance knowledge and skills in workers' compensation for self-insurers. The program has grown significantly, attracting over 300 participants annually from various sectors, including publicly listed companies, private companies, claims managers, brokers, local and state government entities, healthcare companies, and domestic and global insurers. Belinda continues to oversee the program delivered by Hall & Wilcox, on a biennial basis.
