Anthony Crowe

Anthony has almost 10 years’ experience in insurance litigation across both NSW and the ACT. He has developed expertise in identifying and managing complex and technical claims.
Anthony acts for workers compensation insurers in the ACT defending a range of both litigated and unlitigated personal injury claims. He has a comprehensive understanding of the jurisdiction and focuses on taking a pragmatic approach and resolving matters swiftly and cost-effectively where possible.
He also assists insurers in NSW to resolve compulsory third party claims involving complex liability and quantum issues, fraud, catastrophic injuries, nervous shock, recoveries, multi-defendant matters and administrative law challenges.
Anthony has worked across a number of jurisdictions including NSW District and Supreme Courts and the Court of Appeal, as well as the ACT Industrial, Magistrates and Supreme Courts.
- Acted on behalf of the respondent employer in a multiple chemical sensitivity case involving multiple insurers, resulting in a verdict for his client.
- Successfully defended a claim for psychological injury involving complex issues as to causation and liability.
- Successfully defended an employer where the plaintiff worker alleged breaches of statutory and common law duties as a result of exposure to green coffee bean dust.
- Regularly conducts training sessions for client insurers in relation to the ACT statutory scheme, managing claims and state or territory of connection issues.
