New team deepens Hall & Wilcox’s Commonwealth government expertise
Hall & Wilcox has significantly strengthened its growing Commonwealth Government practice, announcing the addition of a specialist Public Law team, including two partners, with significant Commonwealth experience.
Partners Nicola Johnson and Rohan White are joined by special counsel Sophie Roberts and Ada Wong, senior associate Arielle Zinn, and associates Alana Meaney and Michelle Harradine.
The team are highly experienced government and administrative law specialists. They advise and represent government agencies on administrative law litigation and decision-making challenges, as well as privacy and public interest disclosure, FOI, debt recovery, and statutory interpretation. They advise clients including the Department of Home Affairs, Services Australia and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. The team regularly undertakes solicitor advocacy in the AAT, Federal Court, Federal Circuit Court and Family Court and have also represented the Commonwealth in high-profile Coronial Inquests and Royal Commissions.
Hall & Wilcox was appointed to the Whole of Australian Government Legal Services Panel on 1 July 2024 for each of the key areas of law: Public Law; Workplace, Industrial Relations and Compensation; Corporate and Commercial (General); Corporate and Commercial (Specialist) and
Property and Environment.
