Leading independent business law firm Hall & Wilcox is continuing its national expansion by opening a new office in Perth today following the appointment of two new partners, Joel Sheldrick and Anton Vucak.

The initial practice in Perth will be providing legal services for the firm’s insurance and financial services sector clients. In addition to Joel and Anton, the team also includes special counsel Stephanie Driscoll, senior associates Rosena De Freitas and Liz Seggie and a team of 15 lawyers and support staff.

The Hall & Wilcox Perth office follows the firm’s growth in Sydney this year and recent expansion into Newcastle.

Tony Macvean, Managing Partner at Hall & Wilcox, said the new team greatly complements the firm’s financial services and insurance sector focus. “The new team builds on an area of strength for the firm.  In addition, we broadly see opportunity to grow our Perth presence in commercial areas of practice.

“The Perth office is part of our longer term strategy and we plan to further strategically grow our national footprint in the new year. It is heavily based on client expectation.”

Mr Macvean said the Perth office also provides a further springboard to attract in-bound and out-bound Asian work. “We are looking to build on our already strong connections with Asia, which includes a thriving China practice led by partner Eugene Chen,” Mr Macvean said.

Hall & Wilcox acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land, sea and waters on which we work, live and engage. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
