Hall & Wilcox advises owners of ACA International on sale to Dachser

Hall & Wilcox has advised the owners of international logistics and supply chain management specialist ACA International on its sale to Dachser.

Dachser is a market-leading logistics company, with over 31,750 employees worldwide and operations spanning 43 countries and 376 locations.

The acquisition is a win-win for both ACA International and Dachser, as Dachser will be able to offer an even broader range of logistics services, while ACA International’s clients will benefit from access to Dachser’s global network, technology and resources.

The Hall & Wilcox team advised on all Australian law aspects of the deal, including the preparation and negotiation of all transaction documents.

The Hall & Wilcox team was led by Special Counsel Conrad Smith and supported by Lawyers Aron Mazur and Livia Tsipos. Partners Karl Rozenbergs and Rosemary Roach and Lawyers Angeline Lee and Laura D’Aprano assisted with various employment aspects of the transaction. Partner Ben Hamilton also provided advice on discrete copyright matters.

Conrad Smith expressed his delight with the outcome of this deal. ‘The transaction has created significant growth opportunities for the business moving forward. Our client has made a wise decision in partnering with a leading player in the logistics sector, and we are thrilled with the outcome of this transaction,’ he said.

ACA International Managing Director Adam Cruttenden said that Hall & Wilcox has been advising ACA International on commercial and employment law matters for over 13 years.

‘This transaction presented multiple challenges with the deal parameters changing during the process. Hall & Wilcox were integral in meeting some key timelines working under time constraints during the Christmas holiday period and to meet final completion targets. Conrad, Aron and the broader Hall & Wilcox team went over and above to ensure we were supported and met the requirements of both ACA and Dachser, resulting in a positive outcome for all parties,’ he said.
