Leading independent business law firm, Hall & Wilcox, has added to its national commercial dispute resolution team by appointing new partner Stephen Klotz, who will be based in Sydney.

Stephen is an experienced and well-respected litigation lawyer with nearly 30 years’ commercial litigation experience. Stephen was a partner at Norton Rose Fulbright (formerly Deacons) in the firm’s litigation team for 19 years. Prior to that Stephen was a partner at Dunhill Madden Butler for three years.

Stephen’s area of specialisation is in corporate and commercial dispute resolution, with a particular focus on complex debt, consumer law, contract, corporations law, equity, real property and regulatory investigations.

His industry knowledge covers finance, government, health, infrastructure, IT, mining, pharmaceutical, property, retail and transport.

Stephen commented that he was delighted to be joining the firm. “Hall & Wilcox has a reputation nationally as a high quality firm with a very collegial partnership. It is a great time to be joining them – last year they were one of Australia’s fastest growing law firms. I’m excited to be part of that growth.”

Tony Macvean, Managing Partner of Hall & Wilcox, said Stephen will be a valuable addition to the firm’s national CDR team. “Stephen is a talented practitioner whose experience greatly complements the work we are doing with our corporate clients.

“This is a strong practice within the firm but one with growth potential, and we think Stephen can play a key role in growing the Sydney and national commercial practice more generally.”

Hall & Wilcox acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land, sea and waters on which we work, live and engage. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
