Connecting You: interview with Mark Morris, Queensland Government

We are delighted to welcome Mark Morris, Director of Ministerial Services, Queensland Government Department of Premier and Cabinet, as the next guest in our ‘Connecting You’ series.

With over 22 years of leadership experience, the last 12 in the public service, Mark is also a diversity and inclusion champion, a Flexible Working Day Ambassador, a proud husband and father. He is passionate about authenticity, reliability, empathy, high EQ and integrity, and making a positive, practical impact.

Mark spoke to Partner Fay Calderone about his passion for increasing the take-up of flexible work and how we can all challenge archaic views that lead to the reduced take-up of parental leave for men. Mark also spoke about wellbeing during the current COVID-19 crisis, the likely challenges in the year ahead, particularly around mental health, and how he keeps his team motivated.
