The rise and rise of interface agreements

Once limited to major infrastructure and PPP type projects, Interface Agreements are being increasingly adopted across a wide range of projects with long term ownership structures. We are seeing Interface Agreements now being mandated in areas such as Build to Rent and Social Housing, requiring a new range of industry participants to familiarise themselves with the role, content and risks allocation in Interface Agreements.

Partners Alex Hartmann and Shaun Whittaker will address:

  • the circumstances where it is appropriate to use an Interface Agreement
  • the intent and content of a ‘standard’ Interface Agreement
  • the application of Interface Agreements to long term precinct developments, commercial and residential projects (e.g. BTR)
  • tips and traps when negotiating an Interface Agreement
