The rise and rise of interface agreements
Once limited to major infrastructure and PPP type projects, Interface Agreements are being increasingly adopted across a wide range of projects with long term ownership structures. We are seeing Interface Agreements now being mandated in areas such as Build to Rent and Social Housing, requiring a new range of industry participants to familiarise themselves with the role, content and risks allocation in Interface Agreements.
Partners Alex Hartmann and Shaun Whittaker will address:
- the circumstances where it is appropriate to use an Interface Agreement
- the intent and content of a ‘standard’ Interface Agreement
- the application of Interface Agreements to long term precinct developments, commercial and residential projects (e.g. BTR)
- tips and traps when negotiating an Interface Agreement
Presenters: Alex Hartmann and Shaun Whittaker

Construction partner Stefan Fenk will explore the pitfalls and potential solutions to making contracts and the sourcing of expert evidence for delay claims simpler and more reliable, including examples of the day-to-day experiences he has shared with clients and project teams on numerous projects.
