Maree specialises in the management and defence of general liability and workers’ compensation claims and has done so for over 15 years.
Maree acts for and advises insurers, employers and self-insurers and regularly appears in the District Court and at WorkCover WA. She has a particular interest in indemnity disputes, workplace fatality and complex stress claims.
She works closely with her clients to ensure claims are managed proactively with a view to achieving early resolution and a reduction in claim spend. She successfully pursued and defended a range of matters.
In 2015, Maree was seconded to WFI, part of the IAG Group, where she managed the workers’ compensation and liability teams’ and gained valuable insight into claims management from an insurer’s perspective.
