She also has particular expertise in accident and health and life insurance claims.
Kizzy regularly advises and acts for national and domestic insurers across several jurisdictions including New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and ACT.
She also has particular expertise in accident and health and life insurance claims specialising in delivering coverage advice in relation to TPD, income protection and capital benefit claims. She is well versed in defending litigated claims in this space including at AFCA particularly on behalf of Trustees of superannuation funds as well as insurers.

Experience
- Negotiating multi-million-dollar recoveries relating to major bushfire events.
- Practicing in complex domestic and commercial property damage recoveries, litigation and indemnity disputes particularly across NSW and VIC.
- Exposure to complex commercial claims including property damage, motor, contract works, temporary permanent disability, large loss, builder’s warranty and bushfire claims.
- Acting for insurers in pursuing multi-million-dollar recoveries relating to both domestic and commercial property damage claims across a number of jurisdictions with a focus on complex AFCA and tribunal matters.
- Advising insurers on issues involving the ICA including fraud, policy interpretation, non-disclosure and misrepresentation.
- Providing indemnity advice on policy response with respect to life insurance, pre-existing conditions, benefits for accidental death, TPD and income protection benefits, as well as drug, alcohol, mental health and illegal act exclusions.
- Advising Trustees and defending proceedings brought relating to TPD or other policy declinatures both in various AFCA and court matters.
- Negotiating and settling litigation matters running and delivering cost effective solutions.
- Sourcing and instructing experts, forensic accountants and factual investigators.
- Negotiating recoveries from vulnerable customers.
- Working as a Litigation Specialist in short-tail claims for six-months in-house at a national insurer.
- Operating multiple claims systems and processes.
- Training module completed in handling of claims lodged by vulnerable customers.
