John’s practice focuses on personal injury litigation management. He acts primarily for WorkSafe Victoria and is responsible for managing the delivery of quality common law and statutory benefits service and outcomes.
With John’s claims and scheme experience, he has introduced a litigation management model to drive quality outcomes for WorkSafe Victoria’s agents and employers.
John has also acted for numerous self-insurers. He understands the unique global finalisation requirements of self-insurers and achieves outstanding outcomes consistent with those requirements.

John has acted for WorkSafe Victoria and its predecessors since the introduction of the Accident Compensation Act 1985 (Vic). He has worked as senior legal counsel at TAC Law and when TAC Law was added to the Victorian WorkCover Authority legal panel, John was appointed senior legal counsel manager and headed TAC Law’s WorkCover Division.
John has also worked as the National Manager, Dispute Management at Allianz Australia Insurance, where he managed the litigation and legal panels of three CTP schemes and two workers’ compensation schemes.
