
Sana is a litigation lawyer and a public law specialist in our dispute resolution team, helping government clients navigate complex pubic law, regulatory and commercial disputes. She advises on in judicial reviews, statutory interpretation and compulsory acquisition, as well as commercial and contractual disputes involving public sector projects and decision-making.

- Acting for a Victorian Government department in a judicial review proceeding in the Supreme Court of Victoria concerning the Wildlife Act 1975 (Vic), advising on complex issues of statutory interpretation, employment obligations and public interest litigation.
- Acting for a Victorian statutory authority in an ongoing ~$70 million compensation claim under the Land Acquisition and Compensation Act 1986 (Vic).
- Acting for the Suburban Rail Loop Authority in defending a ~$16 million in compensation claim concerning compulsory acquisition, involving novel arguments regarding the proper zoning of land and valuation of loss.
- Advising the Department of Energy Environment & Climate Action on various urgent injunctions threatened by environmental groups under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cth).
- Advising a statutory authority in relation to an ongoing ~$200 million dispute involving complex and interrelated issues of land acquisition compensation, breach of contract, misrepresentation and estoppel.
- Acting for the Suburban Rail Loop Authority in two disputed claims in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal defending ~$11 million in compensation claimed for the compulsory acquisition of multiple parcels of land.
