Markus works in our Workers Compensation team, acting for for Worksafe Victoria and for the Transport Accident Commission (TAC). His practice focuses on common law claims brought under the Accident Compensation Act 1985 (Vic), the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 (Vic) and the Transport Accident Act 1986 (Vic).
Clients value Markus for his organised and efficient approach to litigation, strong dispute resolution skills and ability to provide prompt, clear and succinct advise. As a long-standing member of WorkSafe Victoria's circuit team (since 2016), he manages litigation in Bendigo and Mildura and has built strong working relationships with employers and plaintiffs.
Markus also brings prior experience from plaintiff person injury practice, including WorkCover, TAC, public liability and medical negligence claims, enabling him to anticipate issues and deliver practical, well-rounded advice.
