
Mark works in our General Insurance team, regularly assisting both domestic and international insurer clients across a number of industries and sectors. His expertise includes the defence of personal injury claims as well as property damage liability claims.
He maintains a large scale property damage recovery portfolio, dealing with large complex losses and high value claims , and supervises a portfolio of high volume property recoveries and liability claims. Where commercial resolutions are not possible, Mark is a strong advocate and regularly appears across the Magistrates Court, District Court and Supreme Court.

Experience
- Acting for multiple insurers regarding property damage losses suffered in various bushfires including the Port Lincoln bushfire.
- Acting on behalf of multiple insurers in large loss recoveries involving fire and water damage, with losses often in the millions. These routinely involve the engagement of experts on lithium-ion batteries, electrical hardware and water infrastructure.
- Defending property damage claims in relation to fires including the successful defence of a multi-million dollar claim arising from the loss of a tree plantation on Kangaroo Island.
- Defending claims for indemnity in relation to fire and water damage claims, including the defence of claims for indemnity arising from illegal tobacco possession.
- Appearing as instructing solicitor in claims for indemnity as well as the successful defence of an application for split Trials in the District Court of South Australia.
- Defending personal injury claims across all industries, including labour hire and construction settings as well as the defence of workers compensation recovery claims.
- Acting on behalf of building companies in relation to mould inhalation injuries including the engagement of toxicologists and microbiologists.
