Clients value Georgia for her attention to detail and technical focus, particularly when navigating claims involving complex factual circumstances or allegations of fraud. She advises on a wide range of liability and quantum issues, with a particular interest in matters involving complex medical issues.
Georgia also contributes to a number of pro bono initiatives, including disability service matters and general advice clinics across areas such as criminal, employment, consumer and anti-discrimination law. She is a trusted adviser on CTP claims and carefully manages potential risks in complex matters to deliver positive outcomes for her clients
Experience
- Represents major insurers (NRMA, Allianz, Suncorp) in their defence of compulsory third-party claims in the NSW motor accidents scheme under both the MAI Act and MAC Act.
- Conducting proceedings in the District and Supreme Courts of NSW, as well as the Personal Injury Commission.
- Negotiation of positive commercial outcomes at settlement conferences.
- Advises and manages matters involving complex issues of liability, indemnity potential fraud, and questions of medical causation while balancing commercial considerations and potential risks.
