For over 15 years Angie has worked in insurance litigation, having acted for QBE, IAG, Allianz, RAC, Zurich, Chubb, Youi, Progressive Insurance, Calliden Insurance and National Transport Insurance.
After completing her articles training program, Angie worked exclusively in insurance recovery litigation. During that time, she refined her skills by focusing on strategy and providing insight to her clients by taking a whole of portfolio lens to her matters. Her strengths are in identifying the best way to achieve the desired outcome on a file and advise on how the file will play out in a broader context.
Over the many years Angie has practiced in recoveries, she has developed a depth of knowledge in negligence, bailment, Australian Consumer Law and contractual claims. She has managed litigation in the Northern Territory, South Australia and Western Australia and understands advocacy and the rules of evidence.
Angie has a keen interest in advocacy and trial work, having appeared as trial counsel for over 50 trials in the Magistrates Court of Western Australia, ranging from a wide variety of matters. The cases she has run in the Magistrates Court vary from claims of fraud, allegations of faulty workmanship and breach of the Australian Consumer Law provisions contained in the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and property damage arising from motor vehicle collisions.
Angie thrives in working in a high-volume environment and enjoys working on property damage claims caused by fire, water or heavy machinery. Having managed a high volume of both defended and recovery files, she has a proven record in being able to manage litigation to trial in the Magistrates Court, District Court and Supreme Court of Western Australia. Angie is a tenacious advocate for her clients and approaches her cases with a tireless work ethic and unyielding commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes.
Angie prides herself on being able to provide practical and common-sense advice. To her, recoveries is her passion - certainly as much as her love of Muay Thai and fitness instructing.
