Hall & Wilcox targets cyber growth with new partner appointment in Sydney

News29 Sep 2026

Hall & Wilcox is expanding its cyber practice with the appointment of experienced cyber and technology partner Zoe Tishler in Sydney, as cyber becomes an increasingly complex issue for organisations across industries.

Zoe is a highly regarded cyber and privacy lawyer with deep expertise across cyber incident response, advisory work and cyber-related disputes. She advises insurers, brokers and organisations on managing privacy and cyber risks – from prevention and preparedness through to incident response and recovery. Zoe guides her clients through complex cyber events, regulatory issues and disputes, and is known for combining technical expertise with a practical and commercial approach.

The appointment will deepen Hall & Wilcox's cyber capability at a time when cyber incidents are increasingly intersecting with regulatory, privacy, insurance, employment and broader commercial issues. Zoe's practice complements expertise across the firm, creating opportunities to provide clients with coordinated support before, during and following an incident.

The appointment also reflects Hall & Wilcox's broader approach to growth as an independent national firm – identifying where client needs are evolving and investing in specialist capability to meet them.

Hall & Wilcox Chief Executive Partner Graydon Dowd said cyber was an area where the firm sees significant opportunity to build on its existing strengths.

‘Cyber is no longer an issue that sits within one part of an organisation. The legal, regulatory, commercial and reputational implications are increasingly interconnected, and clients need advisers who understand that broader picture,’ he said.

‘Zoe brings outstanding technical expertise and commercial judgment, particularly when supporting clients through complex and high-pressure cyber incidents. Her appointment gives us greater depth in an area that will only become more important to our clients.’

On joining Hall & Wilcox, Zoe said:

‘I’m excited to be joining Hall & Wilcox and to have the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of the firm’s cyber practice. It’s an area that continues to evolve rapidly, and I’m looking forward to working with the team and supporting clients as they navigate increasingly complex cyber and privacy challenges.’

Zoe commenced with Hall & Wilcox on 28 September 2026 and is based in the firm’s Sydney office.
