Hall & Wilcox promotions and appointments
Leading independent business law firm Hall & Wilcox is pleased to announce two partner and ten senior lawyer appointments, effective 1 January 2018. The promotions are across the firm’s Melbourne and Sydney offices and will further bolster the firm’s insurance, private clients, employment/migration and litigation teams.
Ana Forster will be promoted to partner in the firm’s insurance team. Ana acts for WorkSafe Victoria and self-insurers with a particular interest in common law damages claims and claims for psychiatric injury.
William Moore will be promoted to partner in the firm’s private clients team. William is a leading practitioner in succession planning, trusts, estates and estate litigation and a trusted adviser to some of Australia’s largest family groups and high net worth individuals.

In addition the firm’s insurance, tax and private clients teams has recently expanded or are set to expand in January with the four senior lawyer lateral appointments.
Jim Koutsokastas recently joined the firm as special counsel in the tax team from Henry Davis York. Jim specialises in corporate and trust tax law with a particular focus on banking and finance, property and constructions sectors. Jim will add depth to our existing tax offering in the Sydney market.
Belinda Walsh recently joined the firm as a senior associate in the insurance team from Sparke Helmore. Belinda is an accredited personal injury specialist and will be working in the NSW workers compensation team.
Natasha Farr also recently joined the firm as senior associate in the insurance team in Brisbane. Natasha has been working for Carter Newell Lawyers in their financial lines insurance team for the last four years. She has considerable experience in advising insurers on professional indemnity, D&O and management liability insurance matters.
With these promotions and recent lateral appointments, it brings the total number of partners at Hall & Wilcox to 70 and close to 110 senior lawyers across the firm’s six offices.
