Hall & Wilcox expands national commercial disputes expertise with new construction and projects disputes partner

Hall & Wilcox has boosted its national commercial disputes expertise with the appointment of Penny Ford as a construction and projects disputes partner in the firm’s Perth office.

Penny is an experienced and high-profile construction and projects disputes lawyer and commercial litigator. She has a strong track record of advising on and managing complex, high stakes disputes for a wide range of commercial and government clients. She has a focus on litigation and arbitration of construction, oil and gas, and project disputes but also has extensive experience managing other commercial disputes.

Penny will add significant strength to the firm’s capability and practice in Western Australia, and add further depth to its national construction and projects team.

Managing Partner Tony Macvean said that Penny’s appointment is a significant coup for the firm.

‘Penny is a terrific person and litigator. We think she will be fabulous for our national litigation practice and our Perth commercial practice. We are delighted that she is joining us,’ he said.

Penny said, ‘I am delighted to be joining Hall & Wilcox at an exciting time in its growth in the Western Australian and national legal markets. It is an innovative firm with a great culture. I look forward to working collaboratively with an excellent group of lawyers to continue providing exceptional service to our clients.’

Penny’s appointment means that Hall & Wilcox has 100 partners, a significant milestone for the firm.

‘Our strategy has been to capitalise on partnering with our clients, nurturing our culture and capitalising on the growth opportunities in the market and across our business. Penny’s appointment is a great example of the excellent people we have joining our firm,’ Tony said.

‘We are an ambitious firm and we are always keen to hear from great people who would like to join our firm and who meet our strategic and cultural criteria.’
