Hall & Wilcox advises McKenzie Group on acquisition of certain Hendry Group assets
Hall & Wilcox has advised McKenzie Group Consulting Pty Ltd in acquiring specific assets from Hendry Group Pty Ltd (Administrators Appointed). These assets relate to Hendy Group’s Essential Safety Measures and Building Surveying divisions.
In operation for over 35 years and backed by global leader in testing, inspection and certification, Bureau Veritas, McKenzie Group is one of Australia’s largest building surveying, accessibility and compliance management consultancy firms.
Effective from 1 December 2023, the deal not only saw McKenzie Group expand its business into new geographic locations and new market sectors, but also ensured the continued employment of a significant number of Hendry Group employees.
Led by Partner Nicole Tumiati and supported by Partners Scott Butler and David Catanese, as well as Lawyers Daniel Shizas and Brooke Lynskey, the cross-practice Hall & Wilcox team assisted with M&A, insolvency and employment law aspects of the transaction.
