Hall & Wilcox advises MAXI-PRESS and parent company JENSEN-GROUP NV on the cross-border acquisition of Filterfab

Hall & Wilcox has advised MAXI-PRESS Australia Pty Limited and its parent company JENSEN-GROUP NV (listed in Brussels) on the acquisition of Filterfab Pty Ltd (Australia) and the shares of Filterfab NZ Limited (New Zealand). The transaction completed on 31 October 2025.

The acquisition strengthens MAXI-PRESS’ position in the industrial laundry consumables market across Australia and New Zealand, supporting long-term growth strategy in the region. 

Hall & Wilcox’s cross-practice team was led by Partner and Healthcare Co-Lead, Alison Choy Flannigan, supported by Senior Associate Jasmine Koh and Lawyer Jordan Potts. The team also included employment Partner and Health & care Co-Lead Karl Rozenbergs and the firm’s employment team, and Partner Mark Lyons and Senior Associate Matt Dolan from the firm’s property and projects team. The team were also assisted by partners Hayley Buckley and Tom Heard from Wynn Williams in New Zealand.

MAXI-PRESS and Filterfab are both active in the consumables business for heavy-duty laundry operations, including in the healthcare industry.  Australia and New Zealand have long been key markets for the JENSEN-GROUP and for MAXI-PRESS. Since 2005, the Group has operated an independent sales and service center in Sydney, underlining its long-term commitment to the region. 

With the integration of the former Cobro Group, a leading Australian supplier of laundry consumables, MAXI-PRESS further strengthened its position in the market and today serves customers in Australia and New Zealand as MAXI-PRESS Australia, providing high-quality laundry consumables and MAXI-PRESS spare and wear parts for industrial laundries. Filterfab will continue its operations under its existing brand and with their dedicated teams in Australia and New Zealand.
