Hall & Wilcox advises LuckyLiquor on the launch of a new Australian gin brand, Papa Salt Gin
Hall & Wilcox has advised LuckyLiquor Pty Ltd, the new Australian subsidiary of LuckyLiquor USA, on the launch of a new Australian gin brand, Papa Salt Gin. The Australian company was founded by a group of five friends in the film industry – Tom Ackerley, Charlie Maas, Josey McNamara, Regan Riskas and Margot Robbie. Hall & Wilcox played a key role in the preparation of commercial documents, including a production agreement with Lord Byron Distillery and a distribution agreement with a leading Australian liquor distributor.
Special Counsel Nicole Tumiati and Senior Associate Susannah Dobbie led the Hall & Wilcox team, providing specialist legal advice to this new player in the Australian food and beverage sector.
Senior Associate Nhu Thuy Dinh advised on the employment aspects of the deal, including the preparation, negotiation and execution of the executive services agreement for the LuckyLiquor General Manager who will run the company’s operations in Australia.
Commenting on the deal, Susannah Dobbie said, ‘We were really excited to have the opportunity to assist the dedicated founders, who spent five years sampling 59 different recipes to come up with “the chosen one”, to bring the Papa Salt Gin brand to life.’
