Leading Australian independent business law firm Hall & Wilcox today announced the appointment of two new special counsel.

Eugene Chen has been appointed special counsel in the Financial Services team as well as Head of the Hall & Wilcox China practice.

James Morvell has been appointed special counsel in the Corporate & Commercial team.

Both appointments are well deserved and reflect Eugene and James’ technical and service quality.

Hall & Wilcox Managing Partner, Tony Macvean, commented:

“Eugene and James are great Hall & Wilcox people, and their promotion is reflective of the excellence they demonstrate in the advice they give and in the way they service their clients.

“Both Eugene and James have instrumental roles in the growth of Hall & Wilcox.  Eugene is leading our China practice and has an important role in our financial services practice.  James is supporting the expansion of our Corporate & Commercial and Equity Capital Markets practice, particularly Sydney and nationally.

“It is fantastic when we can make such high quality internal appointments as we have with Eugene and James.”

The appointments will be effective from 1 October 2014
