Andrew Fairley receives Queen’s Birthday Honours
Hall & Wilcox is proud to announce that specialist superannuation lawyer, Andrew Fairley, was appointed a Member in the General Division of the Order of Australia (AM) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
Andrew’s appointment acknowledges ‘significant service to the community through contributions to, and support for, a range of organisations, to the law, and to philanthropy’.
Andrew is a man of many interests, roles and achievements, and the citation for this honour includes mention of his philanthropic work as Chair of the Sir Andrew and Lady Fairley Foundation, and deputy Chair of the George Hicks Foundation; his co-founding the Law Council’s Superannuation Committee and the annual Superannuation Lawyers’ Conference; and current roles as Chair of EquipSuper, Chair of Parks Victoria, Chair of the Foundation for Alcohol Research and Education, a Director of Tourism Australia, and a Director of Turtle Island Resort (Fiji).
