Bella celebrated her five-year anniversary at Hall & Wilcox in March 2023. Bella shares some highlights from her time at the firm.

Bella joined the firm as a Deeds Clerk in our Newcastle office. In late 2021 Bella transitioned to a Paralegal role in our Private Clients team.

Bella is currently completing a law degree at the University of Newcastle, and in her spare time visits her family in Port Macquarie.

We asked Bella a few questions to reflect on her five years at the firm.

One of my earliest Hall & Wilcox memories is...

my first day starting as Deeds Clerk in early 2018. I was nervous as I had never worked in an office before, but everyone was very welcoming and kind. My allocated team buddy, Andrea, set the tone by showing me what she jokingly described as the most important thing I would learn: how to use the office coffee machine.

When people ask me about working at Hall & Wilcox I tell them...

that it has been the best introduction to working in the legal profession that I could have asked for. I love working with my team and other colleagues and I really value the positive workplace culture that Hall & Wilcox has cultivated. The support and opportunities that I have received working at our firm has greatly assisted my legal and professional development.

Outside of Hall & Wilcox, you’ll find me...

spending time with my close friends or my family, usually out at a new brunch or dinner place. Otherwise, I will be at home reading, studying, binging a TV show or attempting to crochet.

Hall & Wilcox acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land, sea and waters on which we work, live and engage. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
