Wanted Melbourne street artists

Hall & Wilcox is an innovative, forward thinking law firm with a real interest in creativity and our community. One of the ways that we express this commitment is to support artists by using our beautiful CBD office space to host exhibitions of the work of artists. We invite our clients and our staff and friends and family to the opening of the exhibition. Past exhibitions have been very successful and we are really excited about our plans to curate an exhibition of some of Melbourne’s best up and coming street artists,

We are calling for Melbourne street artists to participate in Hall & Wilcox’s Art Exhibition and Acquisition Program in 2017.

The program offers 3-5 artists the opportunity to display and sell their work, with one street artist being commissioned to paint their work on a wall of Hall & Wilcox’s public space, at the exhibition’s launch event on 4 May 2017.

Hall & Wilcox can provide some financial assistance to exhibiting artists who need that support. The financial assistance (up to $1500.00 to be shared among all exhibiting artists) can cover costs such as transport of the artwork, purchase of paints and canvas and other artist expenses.

All works included in an exhibition must be for available sale during the exhibition, with all proceeds of sales going to the artist.

Alternatively, If you are a Melbourne street artist you can apply to exhibit with us by posting examples of your work on Instagram with hash tag #HallandWilcoxArt and tag @foodlawart and we will be in touch to talk to you further about our art project.

Alternatively, you can email us at artprogram@hallandwilcox.com.au with:

  • a brief introduction about you and your work and
  • some examples of your work.

Our program is aimed at “emerging” artists who we generally see as artists who are not represented and do not yet have a well-established brand or reputation.
