Meet our new Partner

I work with: both private businesses and ASX-listed clients. Across the M&A and ECM parts of my practice, I work with clients from a broad range of industries, including financial services, retail, food and beverage and logistics. My investment funds specialisation sees me acting for various fund managers and superannuation funds.

Some of the major matters I’ve worked on: advised the founders of Liberty Oil on the sale of its wholesale fuel business to Viva Energy Australia and the establishment of a new retail fuel joint venture with Viva; advised Powerwrap Limited on its successful IPO of securities and listing on the ASX and the recommended cash/scrip off-market takeover bid by Praemium Limited; acted for Maggie Beer Holdings on its acquisition of e-commerce company Hampers & Gifts Australia and the associated placement and underwritten accelerated non-renounceable entitlement offer; and the establishment of several direct property and private credit funds for institutional fund managers.

Trends in my area: While there is a level of pessimism in the market at the moment, there have been so many opportunities for clients coming out of the current environment. Strategic acquisitions continue to be a focus for expansion by trader buyers, with a shift in some instances away from funding through ‘traditional’ debt. In the investment funds space, it is a really exciting time for the private credit industry. Across the direct property and securities space, we also are seeing managers focus on taking advantage of the asset classes that show strong long-term potential (through acquisitions or repositioning of existing assets).

Outside work, you’ll find me: I enjoy running and travelling, particularly to try out new beaches, food and wine. I also love spending time with my dog (who is also a beach lover!).
