Practices

Christine practices in all aspects of property law with a particular emphasis on acquisitions and disposals, leasing and property development. Christine acts for a broad range of clients including large net worth individuals, developers, investment funds, local governments, Indigenous corporations and not for profit organisations.

Christine has experience in all aspects of the acquisition and disposal lifecycle including undertaking due diligence, the preparation and negotiation of transaction documents and attending to complex settlements.

Christine’s development experience includes the preparation and negotiation of sale and development agreements, development management agreements and off the plan strata agreements.

Christine also has experience in commercial, industrial, retail and agricultural leasing having acted for both landlords and tenants.

Experience

  • Acted for a foreign developer with respect to the acquisition of a short stay apartment site for redevelopment including advice as to structuring, taxation and FIRB consequences and the preparation and negotiation of transaction documents.
  • Acted for a foreign investment fund with respect to the acquisition of sites in Western Australia to be developed for build to rent, including advice as to structuring, taxation and FIRB consequences and the preparation and negotiation of transaction documents.
  • Acted for the seller with respect to the preparation and negotiation of contract documents for the disposal of a leasehold interest at Perth Airport for approximately $30M.
  • Acted for the purchaser of 3 industrial sites in Western Australia by way of a structured property transaction including the review, drafting and negotiation of put and call options, development agreements and contracts of sale.
  • Acted for the purchaser of a partially leased mixed use shopping centre and office building in Subiaco, Western Australia for approximately $38M.
  • Acted for a foreign investment fund acquiring agricultural assets in Western Australia by way of sale and leaseback arrangements, including undertaking comprehensive due diligence and the preparation and negotiation of transaction documents.
  • Acted on the sale and development of key local government sites throughout Western Australia.
