Managing poor performance or investigating misconduct – how to avoid bullying claims

Managing under-performing employees or dealing with misconduct issues can often be challenging. However, what happens if during the process the employee goes on stress leave and claims that they have been bullied or harassed? How should you deal with the complaint and what legal risks does the business face?

The Hall & Wilcox Employment and workplace relations team invite you to a breakfast seminar where we will look at:

  • the key claims that can be made by staff against you
  • how these claims affect performance management or disciplinary processes
  • strategies during performance management or investigations to help avoid potential claims and
  • dealing with external investigators.

This session is suitable for those who manage staff. In particular, it is valuable for in house counsel, HR professionals and managers.
