Hall & Wilcox advises Powerwrap Limited on $17.4 million IPO and ASX listing

Leading Australian law firm Hall & Wilcox has advised Powerwrap Limited, one of Australia’s leading wealth management and administration platforms, on its successful initial public offer of securities and listing on the Australian Securities Exchange.

Powerwrap is an innovative technology service provider offering a specialised platform to wealth managers, financial advisers and brokers to manage and administer their client portfolios.

The Hall & Wilcox team, led by corporate partner John Hutchinson, advised Powerwrap on all aspects of the $17.4 million IPO and ASX-listing process. The team also comprised partner Adrian Verdnik and lawyers Vanessa Murphy and James Fisher. The transaction involved both a Retail Offer and Institutional Offer of both new and existing securities. Advising on the transaction, which involved a sell down facility for existing security holders, required extensive capital raising expertise and navigation of the complex financial services regulation applying to entities of this type.

John Hutchinson commented that ‘We are delighted to have advised Powerwrap’s Board and management on achieving this important milestone which provides a springboard to pursue its future growth opportunities.’

Bell Potter Securities Limited and Baillieu Limited acted as underwriters and joint lead managers of the IPO.

Hall & Wilcox has a strong ECM practice, with extensive experience in capital raising and capital management transactions. We have acted in IPOs and ASX listings, secondary retail and institutional offerings, capital raising transactions by managed investment schemes, stapled security structures, on-market buy-backs and capital reductions. We also assist ASX-listed clients with ongoing compliance and corporate governance-related obligations.
