Hall & Wilcox secures Sydney-based planning and property experts

Leading Australian independent business law firm Hall & Wilcox today announced the appointment of Stan Kondilios, partner, and Maurice Doria, special counsel to their Property, Planning & Construction team.

Stan is a specialist planning and property lawyer, with close to 20 years’ experience providing legal services to local government and proponents for development in NSW. Stan is considered a trusted adviser in the local government sector and his expertise includes environment, planning and development, probity and procurement, and due diligence for land acquisition and property development proposals. Prior to his appointment at Hall & Wilcox, Stan was a foundation partner of the Sydney office at Maddocks where he held several leadership roles during his time there including Partnership Board Member, Practice Team Leader, Partner in Charge of the Sydney Legal Practice and Chair of Partnership Board.

Maurice has more than 25 years’ experience in property, planning and general commercial advice to both private and public sector clients.  In particular, Maurice advises on commercial contract negotiation and contract preparation; real estate development; commercial and retail leasing; governance and probity; and corporate finance. Most recently Maurice was General Counsel at Parramatta City Council and has also held the position of Acting Legal Services Director at the City of Sydney Council.

Both Stan and Maurice will be based in the Hall & Wilcox Sydney office. Stan started with the firm in early January 2015, and Maurice will commence in early February 2015.
