Hall & Wilcox boosts property practice with new appointment

Leading independent business law firm Hall & Wilcox has boosted its property transactions practice and its government and public sector capability with Jane Baddeley joining the Property and projects team as a partner in the firm’s Melbourne office.

Jane was previously at DLA Piper, where she has been Head of Real Estate in Melbourne since 2012.

Jane is a pure property law specialist, with significant experience in significant and often high-profile leasing and acquisition and divestment transactions. She acts for a range of clients with a focus on the government, retail and utilities and telecommunications sectors.

Jane is recognised as a leading property and leasing lawyer by Best Lawyers in Australia, noted in the Legal 500 Asia Pacific and recommended in the Doyles Guide as a leading leasing lawyer.

Managing partner Tony Macvean said Jane’s appointment bolsters the firm’s existing property, government and public sector expertise.

'Jane has a great reputation and client base and will add further depth and experience to our strong and growing property practice and real estate sector team,' Tony said.

'Jane's strong government capability also fits in well with our public sector strategy and government appointments.'

Jane said: ‘I am delighted to be joining Hall & Wilcox, a firm that has such a strong and authentic commitment to its clients, its markets, its people and to doing things differently. I have been impressed by the firm's energy and passion for excellent client service and get a great sense that Hall & Wilcox are the team that clients want on their side.
