Art exhibition and acquisition program – Mental Health

We are inviting expressions of interest from artists for our next art exhibition as part of the Hall & Wilcox’s Art exhibition and acquisition program. The program allows artists to display and sell their work with all sale proceeds going to the artists.

The theme of the next exhibition will be Mental Health and is set to open on 23 November 2017. We are partnering with the Dax Centre for the event to promote mental health and will be fundraising for the Dax Centre at the exhibition opening. The Dax Centre promotes mental health through innovative programs centered around its heritage-listed and unique Cunningham Dax Collection. The Dax Centre seeks to change community views towards mental illness by increasing empathy and understanding of mental illness, psychological trauma and the mind through the art. A goal is the reduction of stigma towards mental illness and mentally ill people.

We are calling for artists who have experienced mental health issues themselves or wish to raise awareness of mental health. Artists would need to have a minimum of 5 works ready for installing by mid-November 2017. See for our Art Exhibition and acquisition program page further details on how to apply.
